STC factor 6.8 applies to eligible installations in May–December 2026; 5.7 applies in January–June 2027. The first 14kWh receives 100%, 14–28kWh receives 60%, and 28–50kWh receives 15% of the factor. Each band's certificate count is rounded down. $40 per certificate is an assumption before fees, not a guaranteed installer discount. VPP payments vary with capacity made available to the grid (up to 28kWh) and contract terms; eligible batteries can be up to 50kWh. Check DCCEEW federal rules and NSW VPP eligibility.
When you obtain quotes independently, ask each provider to itemise incentives and system capacity so you can compare like for like.
